The view range is a setting that determines who can see reports and to what extent.
Design Concept
Based on the organizational hierarchy, rules are used to expand or narrow the default range.
- Grant (Expand view range)…Use this when you want to share across organizations
- Restrict (Narrow view range)…Use this when there are ranges you do not want to expose
Since settings depend on the organizational hierarchy, please design after organizing the organizational hierarchy.
Decide in Advance
- Who the report is intended for (only the individual / same organization / also upper-level organizations)
- Whether there are reports you want to share across organizations
- Conversely, whether there are reports you do not want certain organizations to see
Applies Beyond Reports
The view range applies not only to viewing reports, but also to the Search For targets in "Find People/Skills". Reports from users you cannot view will not appear in AI responses or recommendations.
Therefore, designing a narrow view range will also narrow the scope of knowledge utilization. Please decide based on the balance between "protecting information you do not want to share" and "enabling searches of past cases."
Required Permissions
One of the following permissions is required: View Range, Report Manager, or Administrator.
Notes
Please use the view range settings screen on a computer or a tablet in landscape orientation.
